Placemaking Gathering & Workshop
Tuesday, September 17th
The Placemaking Workshop & Gathering on Tuesday September 17th will help shape a Placemaking network that continues to grow nationally, while supporting placemaking at the community level.
The Workshop & Gathering will serve two purposes:
Gathering: Hear stories about global placemaking networks from international leaders and build on their success to grow the Canadian Placemaking Network.
Placemaking in Action Workshop: Work on current local projects with placemaking champions, community members, and project leads. As a participant, you will play a key role in applying a place-based approach to key community projects.
When: 10am-4pm, Tuesday, September 17th, 2019
Where: Dalhousie School of Architecture and Planning, 5410 Spring Garden Road.
Dalhousie University is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq. We are all Treaty people.
This event is building and grow on previous Placemaking convenings in Montreal (2015), Vancouver (2016), Auckland (2018), Wuhan (2018) and Valencia (2019). Join local, National and International leaders from those discussions and members of PlacemakingX - A global network of leaders who together will accelerate placemaking as a way to create healthy, inclusive, and beloved communities.
This is a free-to-register event as part of the Art of City Building Conference. Subject to capacity.
